If Seattle had a shadow, this was it. Dirt is Alice In Chains at their most harrowing and most magnetic: Jerry Cantrell's sludgy, tuned-down riffs, those eerie Cantrell/Staley harmonies, and songs like "Rooster", "Them Bones" and "Would?" that still sound enormous three decades on. Unflinching about addiction and war, and every bit the equal of Nevermind or Ten. Remastered for its 30th anniversary on double vinyl.
