Nothing sounded like System Of A Down, and nothing has since. Toxicity lurches from frantic Armenian folk melodies to hammering riffs to Serj Tankian's operatic wails, sometimes all within the same verse. It hit No. 1 in the US in the week of 9/11 and gave us "Chop Suey!", "Toxicity" and "Aerials", three of the most recognisable metal songs of the century.
